Reporting to the Senior Manager of Training Programs, the successful candidate will have a passion for the environment and expertise in program coordination.

As a key member of the Training Programs team, the Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating, marketing, and supporting the development of ECO Canada’s training programs. While each member of ECO Canada has individual responsibilities, ECO takes a team-based approach. Everyone is encouraged to take ownership of his/her ideas and to see them through to completion, collaborating with key influencers as required.


  • • Support the development, delivery and improvement of training programs to meet government funding requirements and revenue targets
  •  Respond to training inquiries
  • • Process trainer applications and student registrations
  • • Perform prospecting and marketing activities to generate more program interest
  • • Assist with the execution of digital campaigns and in-person events
  • • Make program improvement recommendations based on trending information, feedback received and learnings
  • • Prepare summary statistics and reports for leadership
  • • Additional program coordination tasks as required

Qualifications and Education

  • • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and develop and maintain collaborative working relationships
  • • Ability to deal with change and adapt to new circumstances quickly
  • • Ethical business practices and integrity
  • • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) as well as general computer skills including file management, data entry, and troubleshooting
  • • Experience with a Learning Management, Customer Relations, and/or Records Management System

Education and Experience

  • • Post-secondary education in the field of business, marketing, communications, education, human services or a related discipline
  • • A minimum of 2 years’ experience coordinating programs and/or projects
  • • Previous experience working with Indigenous persons and communities and/or in the environmental sector would be a definite asset
  • • Excellent command of the English language, with strong emphasis on written and verbal communication skills

This role is a full-time position, with a three-month probationary period upon start date.
