Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an supervision

    Main duties:
  • Lead small or large crews of framers, drywallers and tapers
  • Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in erecting metal studs and suspension ceiling grids and applying plasterboard or other wallboard to ceilings and walls of buildings: Studies blueprints and estimates worker-hours and materials required to complete job, applying mathematical formulas.
  • Inspects work to ensure adherence to company standards and building codes
  • Trains and assists workers in performance of duties.
  • Manage and delegate workload for a crew
  • In charge of material count and ordering
  • Deal with other trades on site to organize work flow
  • Review and interpret blueprints, shop drawings and specs
  • Coordinate and organize work scope with contractor/client
  • Meet or exceed clients' timeline expectations
  • Enforce company safety policies
  • Enforce QA/QC program
  • Measure and mark surfaces to lay out work, according to blueprints or drawings, using tape measures, straightedges or squares, and marking devices
  • Cut metal framing and trim to size, using cutting tools.
  • Install horizontal and vertical metal studs to frames so that wallboard can be attached to interior walls
  • Measure, cut and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or joists
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Measure and cut openings in panels or tiles for electrical outlets, windows, vents, plumbing, or other fixtures, using keyhole saws or other cutting tools
  • Enforce daily clean-up of jobsite

Assets:

  • Red Seal Certificate or in the process
  • Related training for boom, zoom, forklift;
  • Safety training (i.e. fall arrest, WHMIS, first aid, etc.)
  • Posses fall arrest harness
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license or reliable transportation;
  • Read blueprints or other specifications to determine methods of installation, work procedures, or material or tool requirements


Job Type: Permanent, Full- Time

Salary/ Rate: Based on experience and skill

Availability: In about 3 months or sooner
